From the moment a child is born, mother and baby share an intuitive and instinctual connection. Babies can distinguish their mother’s scent from thousands of women. Kenko Skincare translated this primal bond into a natural skincare line for mothers and babies. The formulas and fragrance notes in this line are closely connected to enhance the special, intimate bond between mother and child.

This cream cleansing gel contains apricot kernel oil and oatmeal to gently cleanse and nourish mother and baby’s dry, delicate skin. It is ideal for use during pregnancy and the postpartum period, and is safe enough to use on the dry and sensitive skin of newborns. All of the ingredients have a specific function for babies, mothers, and mothers-to-be and are included in active concentrations for an optimum effect. The baby products are hypoallergenic.

Kenko Skincare used two closely related scents with a distinct olfactory connection. They used one scent in our baby products and another in their products for mothers and mothers-to-be. When used together, both fragrances tell a fragranced story about the intimate and tender connection between mother and child; about the gentleness, the warmth, and the joy that the arrival of a new baby brings and the special rituals and routines a mother develops with her child. The fragrances are subtle and harmonious and designed to support the tender bond between mother and child.

The fragrance notes were selected for the emotions, associations, and moods they evoke, as well as their effect on the body and mind. For example, vanilla was chosen for the feeling of security, warmth, and cosiness it evokes. Sandalwood was chosen for its warm, enveloping scent, its relaxing and nourishing properties, and its important role in spiritual traditions. Both perfumed oils are warm, soft, and relaxing. For mothers, the fragrance helps to both relax and energize.

INGREDIENTS

Apricot and Oat Nurturing cream wash baby 100 ml:

INCI: Aqua, Cetearyl Alcohol, Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate, Pentylene Glycol, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Kernel Oil, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Flour, Cetearyl Glucoside, Xanthan Gum, Citric Acid, Glycerin, Levulinic Acid, Parfum*, Sodium Levulinate

*Hypoallergenic Kenko Fragrance added at low concentration to minimize the chance of allergic reactions

The fragrance is not derived from a traditional perfume, but from a carefully curated selection of essential oils and natural ingredients. The perfumed oil for mothers is of the highest quality and is hand-made in the Netherlands from the very best natural and organic oils. The perfumed oil for babies is hypoallergenic.

Incorporating a fragrance was a deliberate choice, as they feel it contributes to the overall experience. However, they always avoid the use of allergenic fragrances in their baby products. The products also contain very low doses to prevent skin reactions.

HOW IT'S MADE

Made with love in the Netherlands.

-The packaging is made of 100% recycled plastic. The boxes are made from agricultural waste (leaves and stems).

-A part of the profit goes to MommaLuv foundation. MommaLuv foundation connects a mothers-to-be in an emerging country with a mothers-to-be in Europe. With our support they hand over a babypackage including basic needs such as food, clothes, medicine, a mosquito net and careproducts. This way MommaLuv offers us the chance to help mothers and babies in a developing country.
